Gratitude turns what we have into enough

Hello beautiful soul 💛

Today I'm inviting you to open your heart to gratitude.

I would like to share this beautiful quote by Aesops Feabuls with you:

"Gratitude turns what we have into enough."

Tuning into the energy of gratitude to see and be happy with what we have is what Patanjali writes about santosha as one of the niyamas in the Yoga Sutras book 2, sutra 42 "By contentment, supreme joy is gained".

Santosha can be practiced by tuning in to the energy of gratitude. When we start to notice and be happy about even the smallest things in our lives, like the smell of coffee in the morning, the sun shining outside or a smile from a stranger, it gets easier to find peace, to find contentment and to be happy with the life we have. And when we are happy with what we have, it's easier to calm the mind, which Patanjali states as the main goal of yoga in book 1 sutra 2; "The restraint of the modifications og the mind-stuff is Yoga".

So now, place your attention to your hear space. Take three deep breaths. What are you grateful for in your life? If you'd like, please share in the comments. 🙏🏼

Talk to you soon 💛
Namaste 🙏🏼
